Draymond Green Knows He Has Work To Do

Things aren’t going so well for Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors right now.
We all know why: Green is at the center of controversy after punching his teammate, Jordan Poole, during a practice session more than a week ago.
Following that shocking action, Green was fined by the team and garnered a slew of nasty headlines from all over the NBA.
But the fine has been paid, no suspension has been given out, and Green is about to rejoin his team.

Green will play alongside his Warriors on Friday night in their final preseason game and he will be there next Tuesday when the team opens up the season against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The controversial player knows that he has a lot to accomplish in 2022-23, saying, “I’m gonna prove a lot of people wrong this year.”
Even before the punch, Green has a lot to prove.
Now the task at hand is larger than ever.
The Green Comeback Tour
Punching Poole didn’t do Green any favors because there were already a lot of people side-eyeing the brash four-time champion.
Green’s game has weakened over the last few years.
While he still puts up a strong defense and is a mentor for much of his team, his offense has become very lacking.
His outside shot is seemingly broken and he has been making some bone-headed plays too.
There were already some people calling on the Warriors to trade Green away – and then he demanded a maximum contract extension, which caused many to roll their eyes.
In other words, Green was already ruffling feathers and frustrating people before he went after Poole.
All of this means that 2022-23 will be even more crucial for Green.
