Cleveland Guardians slugger Josh Naylor had a vintage postseason moment Sunday night at Progressive Field.

Yes, he hit an important home run to cut his team’s deficit to just one run against Gerrit Cole, one of the best pitchers in the game.

That vintage playoff memory will not be associated so much with the homer but rather to the celebration.

Naylor rocked an imaginary baby while looking at Cole, implying that he was his son after hitting the homer off him.

People at Progressive Field loved the move, but Yankees fans, especially those on Twitter, expressed their anger about it.

A sports reporter with a lot of interest in the Yankees, Anthony Romano, implied that Naylor must have imagined his team would come back from the deficit and end the AL Division Series yesterday judging by the way he celebrated.

“Josh Naylor really thought he wouldn’t have to face Yankee Stadium tomorrow. He was wrong. Game 5 in The Bronx,” Romano tweeted.

Yankees Fans Will Probably Boo Naylor At The Stadium

Indeed, Game 5 will be played tonight at Yankee Stadium starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Jameson Taillon will face Aaron Civale from the Guards, and Naylor will surely be in the lineup card.

Baseball fans who have been hurt aren’t the most polite in the world, and Yankees supporters have some history with the Guardians and some of their players, most notably Steven Kwan and Myles Straw.

It’s fair to say Naylor has earned a place in the Yankees’ Hall of Hate.

He will most likely be showered with lots of boos.

As long as that’s all there is, it’s something that Naylor should be able to endure.
