Warren Cook Obituary (1935 – 2022) – Wyoming, MN


Warren L. Cook, age 86 of Wyoming, MN, formerly of Hayward and Marshfield, WI, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away from heart disease on August 12, 2022.

In Minnesota, a prayer service will be held Friday, August 19, at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake, MN.

In Wisconsin, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1414 W. 5 th St., Marshfield, WI, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1866.

Warren was born August 24, 1935, in Marathon County. He was a graduate of Marathon High School, honorably served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mount Senario College. Warren married Joan Misudek on July 8, 1961. He worked for 30 years in health care accounting and administration, with 25 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, where he was Director of Patient Business Services.

Throughout his career, he participated in professional and community organizations; he believed in continuing to learn throughout life.

Warren enjoyed travel, reading, music, fishing, hunting, sharing bad puns and good stories.

Most of all he loved spending time with family. He was a man of integrity, honest, kind, and thoughtful, cherished by those who knew him. His family sadly bids farewell; rest in God’s peace.

He is survived by Joan, his loving wife of 61 years, daughters Jean (David Farr) and Kathryn (Jeff) Boehmer, grandsons Alexander and Zachary Boehmer, sisters-in-law Alice Cook and Kathleen Sullo, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ida, and his siblings, Roderick, Orland, Elinor Reamy, Jean Gardner, and Donald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Children’s Miracle Network or the American Heart Association are preferred.
