CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The 8News team is showing out for the 4th Annual Fairways for Scott Golf Tournament hosted by 2 End the Stigma on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The tournament is held in honor of Scott Zebrowski, who lost his life to fentanyl poisoning in 2017. Scott was a twin brother, son, uncle and friend, and the event aims to raise awareness about substance use disorder and the dangers of fentanyl.
The tournament is being held for registrants all day on Thursday at the Magnolia Green Golf Club in Chesterfield County.
As well as golf, participants are enjoying raffles, games, music from RVA DJ Sandman and more until 7 p.m.
In addition to the tournament itself, the public was able to attend a free REVIVE! Training and Naloxone distribution in the morning to learn how to respond in the event of a possible overdose.
