RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Museum of History and Culture (VMHC) held a naturalization ceremony on President’s Day to celebrate those who have recently gained U.S. Citizenship.
The museum partnered with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia as well as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to host the ceremony inside the Robins Family Forum theater on Monday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
After the ceremony, the new citizens moved to the Commonwealth Hall for food, drinks and live music from the Richmond Brass Consort from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Following that, there were several special activities people could partake in, including a museum scavenger hunt, an archival treasures viewing and more.
