Storyline
The second season of Peacemaker is part of the rebooted DC Universe. The reboot began with James Gunn’s animated series Creature Commandos. The story will continue with the upcoming Superman movie. Both Nathan Fillion and Isabela Merced appear in the Peacemaker trailer. They will play Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl, and will also appear in Superman.
Peacemaker’s Journey Resumes
The first season of Peacemaker was released in 2022 on HBO Max, now called Max. The show is a spinoff of the 2021 movie The Suicide Squad. In the series, John Cena plays Christopher Smith. He is a mercenary who works for a group called A.R.G.U.S. In the first season, he investigates Project Butterfly. He is ordered to eliminate aliens who take control of human minds.

Returning and New Cast Members
Several cast members from the first season are returning. Danielle Brooks plays the daughter of Amanda Waller, the leader of A.R.G.U.S. Freddie Stroma plays Vigilante. Steve Agee plays John Economos. Jennifer Holland plays Emilia Harcourt. Robert Patrick plays Peacemaker’s father, August Smith, who is also known as White Dragon. Other cast members include Sol Rodriguez and Tim Meadows.
Frank Grillo joins the cast in Season 2. He plays Rick Flag Sr. His character was first introduced in animated form in Creature Commandos. In the 2021 film, Peacemaker killed Rick Flag Jr. This creates new tension between the characters.
