The family of the great ballerina dancer, Michaela DePrince put out a statement on her social media account announcing her untimely demise and saying that she was an unforgettable inspiration who performed at the world’s biggest stages achieving dreams and so much more.
However, the cause of the death of the graceful ballerina dancer, Michaela DePrince was not provided in the post by the family, as per reports.

Michaela DePrince became the main and principal dancer at the Dance Theatre of Harlem at a very young age just after completing Jacqueline Kennedy Oasis School of the American Ballet Theatre and her high school as well. She has been featured in significant documentaries and TV shows like ‘Dancing with the Stars’, following which she went to join the Dutch National Ballet.
According to the BBC, after she came back to the U.S in the year 2021, she joined the prestigious Boston Ballet. Following her demise, the Boston Ballet issued a statement to the Associated Press sending love, condolences and support to the family and saying that she was a wonderful and beautiful dancer.Michaela DePrince wrote about her life starting from orphanage until stage in her book ‘Taking the Flight’ where she mentioned that she suffered a skin pigmentation disorder known as Vitiligo which labelled her as the devil’s child at her orphanage and thus as a child, she was always hated at her orphanage. The BBC News said that her sister Mia DePrince wrote that, Michaela DePrince inspired Black dancers to live their ballerina dreams. Michaela DePrince was actively involved in helping children in areas of war conflict and thus her family urged that in place of flowers, donation can be made to War Child as she was a War Child Ambassador and that would mean the world to her.
