RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The 3rd Annual Jubilation in June Weekend, hosted by the City of Richmond, kicked off this weekend with a series public events and live performances.
The three-day Jubilation in June Festival kicked off on Friday, June 14, at Dogwood Dell. Friday night’s live performance featured Legacy Band.
8News was on the scene to capture all the excitement and energy of Saturday’s event.
Saturday’s lineup included a performance from the legendary rap artist Talib Kweli, as well as live performances from local musicians like Rodney Stith, DJ Prolific and Trademark Band.
With one more day left to the three-day festival, Jubilation in June Weekend will close out its festival with a performance from Grammy-nominated rapper Mad Skillz on Sunday night at Dogwood Dell.
The show on Sunday, June 16, will begin at 8 p.m. at Dogwood Dell, ending with fireworks at Rockett’s Landing around 9:15 p.m.
