StormTracker 8: Quite Cool Through Thursday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – As expected, we are seeing cooler and breezy conditions on this Monday, due to that surface cold frontal passage this morning.

Our Monday night into Tuesday morning, will bring us a mostly clear sky overnight with quite cool temperatures falling back down into the 40s with these breezy winds subsiding overnight as well.

Tuesday will be a mostly cloudy day, with well below average temperatures rising to only 60 degrees, breezy conditions from time to time and something we have not seen the last several days across Central Virginia, rain showers. These rain showers are going to be happening during the PM hours, mainly after lunch, and be light and nuisance variety. Very little accumulation is possible from these light rain showers on our Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening.

Wednesday starts off quite cool with morning temperatures near 40 degrees in Metro Richmond, then rising to around 60 degrees under partly sunny skies and continued breezy conditions from time to time.

Our Thursday will start off quite cool with morning temperatures near 40 degrees in Metro Richmond, then rising into the lower 60s under sunny skies and less breezy conditions.

Our Friday will once again start off quite cool in the morning with temperatures near 40 degrees in Metro Richmond, then rising into the middle to upper 60s under sunny skies.

Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend, we will see sunny skies both days with warming temperatures, back to average to slightly above average in the 70s.

Early next work week, will feature lots of sunshine and continued warming temperatures, rising into the middle to upper 70s next Monday and next Tuesday. I am seeing signs of 80s possible for afternoon temperatures once again later in October, which is great news for warm weather lovers like me and so many others!

Finally, the tropics are not done just yet and in fact we are watching what happens with Invest 94-L out in the open Atlantic Basin throughout this work week, as it pushes westward.
