ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A woman is injured after she was shot during the early morning hours on Monday in Albemarle County.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, June 10, officers with the Albemarle County Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Timberland Lane.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound as well as property damage. The woman was then taken to UVA Health.
Police said the shooting is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to thepublic.
Police continue to investigate the shooting.
